Clarence O. (Buddy) Dotson - In Memoriam

President Emeritus

Mr. Dotson is originally from Freeburn, Kentucky.   He is a veteran of the U.S. Army.   A retired Educator, he holds B.A. and M.A degrees from Morehead State University.  

Clarence is a licened Funeral Director and Embalmer, holding an A.S. Degree from John A. Gupton College.  

He has been married to Jeweldene Williamson for over 50 years and have two sons, Barry and Brent; two grandchildren, Alexandria and Andrew In his spare time, he enjoys reading, composing and playing music. Mr. Dotson is also an Ordained Minister and a 32nd Degree Mason.

Our heart was broken on October 14, 2016, when we lost our founder due to the after effects of a major stroke.  We still feel his calm, guiding influence every day and are committed to upholding his high ideals and continuing his noble heritage.

Brent L. Dotson

Managing Partner

Brent grew up in this area and went on to earn a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. Although he grew up in the funeral business, he decided to pursue it as a career after losing a close friend at the age of 20.  Brent went on to obtain his Funeral Director's license, receiving a commendation from the State Board based upon his excellent score on the examination.   He is also a Certified Cremation Specialist and a Certified Preplanning Consultant. Brent is a history scholar, enjoys classic cars & trucks,  hiking,   working in the yard, staying fit, and reading as much as possible.

Brian L. Buckmon

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Brian L. Buckmon, LFD, Embalmer, LIA and Notary, a native of Knoxville,   He has more than 25 years of experience in the Mortuary Profession.  Mr. Buckmon is an honor graduate of  Mid America College of Funeral Service.  He received the college's "Bill Pierce Award" and served as College Chaplin.  He was a Junior Artist of Pi Sigma Eta, National Fraternity.

Brian is a retired U.S. Army veteran, who served with the U.S. Army during the Gulf War.  He was stationed at U.S. Army Mortuary, Frankfort, Germany then he served as Mortuary Manager for the U.S. Army Mortuary in Vincenza, Italy, for two and a half years.  His awards include Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal and Joint Service Achievement Medal.  We are proud to have Brian as part of our family.

Jeweldene Williamson Dotson

Vice-President

Mrs. Dotson is the "First Lady" of the company.   She is originally from Pikeville, Kentucky.   A retired Educator, she holds a BA Degree from Eastern Kentucky University.  

She has been married to Clarence Dotson for over 50 years, has two sons, Barry and Brent; 2 grandchildren, Alexandria. and Andrew.

In her spare time, she enjoys working outdoors  and gardening.
