Betty Jo McCammon

Betty Jo McCammon, age 91, of Rockford, died Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the family home.

Betty dedicated many years of her career to A&P Grocery Stores, where she served as a respected manager. She was known for her strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to serving her community.

A faithful member of Rockford Baptist Church, Betty’s life was grounded in her faith and devotion to her church family.

In addition to her professional life and faith, Betty was an accomplished bowler. She was a proud member of the Tennessee Bowling Club 600 Membership Club, a testament to her skill and passion for the sport.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike McCammon; her siblings, Mary Chapman and Robert Lawson; and her parents, William T. Lawson Sr. and Leona Gideon Lawson.

Survivors include her brother, William T. Lawson Jr. (Charlotte Jo); special nephew, Jeffrey Lawson; Tony Lawson(Connie), Thomas Lawson; David Greenway; niece/daughter, Jeanne Bean (Jim); great nephew, Jeremy Bean; and many additional family members and friends she cherished over the years.

Graveside ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Eusebia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Tuesday at Dotson Funeral Home & Cremation.
